Q9's computing infrastructure services enable customers to leverage our technical knowledge and expertise to design, build and operate mission-critical computing environments for them. Base services include:
Where environments are based around a virtualization solution, additional infrastructure elements are often incorporated to create a private cloud architecture.
Q9 computing infrastructure services include:
Q9 managed servers can be provisioned with an operating system, hypervisor or without an operating system (for customers who want to provide and install their own OS). Q9 offers several pre-installed hypervisor platforms and the choice of having the virtualized environment managed by Q9 or the customer.
From simple direct attached disk, to complex storage area networks and network attached storage, Q9 designs, installs and operates storage solutions to meet our customer's individual requirements.
Q9 provides a range of switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers. Firewall and load balancer services include both the initial installation and ongoing management of rule sets/algorithms using best-practice change management processes.
Available for both Q9 managed servers and co-located customer servers, Q9's central backup cloud automatically stores customer data offsite at a geographically diverse Q9 data centre where it remains online and available for immediate restoration in the event of a server failure. Fully dedicated, custom solutions are available for customers with more complex backup requirements and/or regulatory restrictions that prevent the use of shared infrastructure.
Q9's server imaging services range from long-term, online storage with 7x24 support for restores to temporary capture and hold services providing an immediate and reliable path back in the event of a failed maintenance activity or upgrade.
